Dogs with bad habits!

Hey all,
Todays post will be about dogs with bad habits.
One major problem that a lot of us have with our dogs is them eating their own poo!
Eating their own poo is no fun!
It makes their breath stink, it makes a real big mess around their paws, mouth, teeth, and whole body!
Now, eating it is not so unhealthy as you may think it sounds.
The reasons behind your dogs eating their own poo might be the follow things..
1. They might be lacking nutrition in their food.
2. Lack of attention meaning they do not get enough love from you!
3. Lack of exercise… they might need to go walking more often.
4. Toys.. they might not have enough or any at all?
5. Treats, feed them treats once in awhile and reward them for GOOD BEHAVIOR, not for just the fun of it.
Now, to properly start .. of course it will take time to fix this matter, first thing is first, make sure that you clean up after their poo as soon as you see it. It may be when you walk them or have them go on a pad. Pick it up right away and throw it away(Get it out of their sight).
After they have gone (by walking, make sure you reward them by petting them, saying good things to them, or even by treats and snacks), by pads, let them know by words and petting such as “good boy or good girl” and reward them that way… and make sure they see you picking it up and throwing it away.
For the next post, I will write about…..
things that causes stress and anxiety for dogs.

Dogs with bad breath..
Hey all, how’s everyone doing? Busy busy I suppose?
Same here, work has been very hectic and the usual, but anyway,
so I wanted to write about dogs having bad breath!
I am sure 98% of us have this same problem..
I recently, VERY RECENTLY found out my Bambi has bad breath.
I thought it was from the food I feed him, but no. Treats? Somewhat, it causes plaque and stuff, but no. So you are probably wondering why dogs have bad breath right? Well it’s caused by bacterias and it can be very harmful to your dog.
1. Make sure your dogs teeth are brushed. Not any over the counter dog toothpaste works. Make sure you read the ingredients and ask your vet. (All vets do not know everything, but it doesn’t hurt to check with them on their opinion/suggestions.)
2. Does your dog eat poo? If they eat their own poo, of course they are going to have bad breath.. I’m trying to eliminate all the causes of your dogs bad breath before stating facts.
3. Does your dog eat your scrap foods? Do you feed them your food? If yes, that’s a cause as well.
4. Is your dog at an older age? Rotting teeth? If yes, this may be a cause of his/her bad breath.
Now, if none of the above relates to you, please take your dog to the vet and check them in.
It is a major problem if your dog does not get treated. They might have a bacteria in them that is causing their bad breath and in time the bacterias will form into their blood stream and possibley can cause death.
We all do not like bad smelling odors, you may want to try giving them lots of greenies.
There are dental bones you may want to try to give them before taking them to the vet to clean their teeth.
These worked for Bambi for a awhile, but as of now, he officially has bad breath and he has an appointment to go in for a check up. I’m worried that he might have the bacteria called “Halitosis”.
For more information on Halitosis, you may read the link I have attached below.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halitosis
See you all back soon! =D
DOGS IN CARS

Hey all, I wanted to write about taking your dog around in your car.
Depending on what kind of personality your dog has, it’s rather easy or rather extremely hard to transport them in your car. My Bambi is extremely scared of car rides, he will hide in the corner of his dog crate purse I put him in and for one of my neighbors dog, he is extremely wild and mad!
It’s like dog gone mad really! He will not stay still, even when he’s at home, he jumps all over the place, barks all the time, doesn’t sit still, and just hyper no matter what.
So, if you do have a dog like my neighbors, make sure that you have a fitted crate for your dogs size.
If you do have a crate that is fitted for your dog, he/she will have less of a chance to make the crate shake around your car and even tip over to the side depending on what kind of car you have.
Here is an example of what I would do for hyper and non-stop moving dogs:
Put the crate in a safe spot, front seat or the trunk if you have a mini-van or suv.
Make sure you put a small toy with him/her just incase he/she gets lonely.
Either way if the ride is long or short, it is still a car ride.
Here is an exmple of what I would do for a calm dog: PRETTY simple right?
Put him/her in a crate or you may even want to try putting him/her in a dog seater.
Here is a picture of one below:
A great way to keep your dog next to you while driving (Only safe for dogs who have calm personalities).
Please note, all dogs have different personalities, make sure you learn your dogs personality before taking them around to the public, they might be a dog who might bite, attack, or just the opposite.
Love them no matter what.
I will write next time about canned dog foods.
EASY DOG SHOWER SOLUTION?

Hey everyone it’s me again! I just got back from having dinner, I always eat too late at night. Which is probably why I’m always having food-coma!
I was thinking if there was any easy way to shower our dogs instead of having to waste so much water, shampoo, condition, and more water!! I want to help save water and use less, but I think I should invent or create a “easy dog shower head” solution kind of thing. Don’t you think? HMM.. only if I was handy enough, I’d gather up some materials and actually test it out HAHA!
Funny of me~ Anyway, but yes I do bathe my Bambi every other day because he goes out every other day and plays out in the wet dirt and grass.
So todays post will be short but soon I will try to invest time into making a solution for all of us in saving time, water, shampoo, and materials alone on bathing our cute dogs! =)
Until next time, see you soon, and good night everyone!
Cute Tips and Suggestions for You and Your Dog

Hi again! I haven’t had a chance to write yet! It sucks! I try to get home as soon as possible to write to yall, but sometimes work and traffic can get hectic, you must know if you live in either states, California or New York. YUCK!
Anywho, today I was at work and my mind wondered off a bit and I got the CUTEST IDEAS to share with everyone!! =D
I wanted to first start off by telling everyone some information I have on mind before the cute ideas begin.
Please everyone, if you are a pet owner of any kind of animal, every single one of them, no matter what size, how they look, or how they act, they ALL have feelings. I believe that what you give to others, will come around back to you when time comes. I have my bad days and good days too. I’m sure our pets do too. For all of you pet owners, please make sure your pet does know that he/she is getting loved by you and others around you such as family members and friends. Do not scream and yell at your dog and pets, it does hurt them. They do have ears that can hear just like us, they have eyes to see, and noses to sense just like us. What makes you think they cannot feel right? Golden rule if you haven’t heard it yet: “Treat others the way you want to be treated”. If you seriously like getting abused and you abuse your dog and pets, you need to go to the hospital this moment, LIKE NOW! Because you are physco. hehe! =P
So to let your pets know that you love and care for them, do little things for them as often as you can and I DO NOT MEAN 24/7! Just when you get a chance to, pet them, play with them, buy them cute toys, give them a comfortable plush an soft bed, AWESOME FOOD! (I have given great tips on which foods have tons of nutrition in my previous postings), give them treats once in awhile, not everyday (because otherwise it will be like feeding them junk everyday!), bathe them, wash out their eyes (the eye crusts and all the other yucky stuff on them), and most of all, call them by their name and give them some acknowledgments such as a noise you make or a movement or something that you do special with your dog. Like with Bambi, I always say “Good boy Bambi, wooooooo You are so adorable!” and I know that he knows what I mean because he starts wagging his tail and is full of joy jumping up and down when I do so.
So now moving onto the cute tips…. =)
There are great doggy shops around with awesome treats for your dogs!
Like biscuits or look-a-like human treats examples would be cakes, brownies, chocolates, and other snacks we humans eat, but for doggies! If you do not know of any, just simply google it and you can find one near by your house.
Another cute tip, you can snuggle with them, even though they may smell bad and stink to the point you cannot stand it, it’s your dog, just snuggle it up! Pamper them =)
Last cute tip, make a scrap book or gather pictures, first toy, and so on and make something out of them with your dog(s) by your side. It would be a great way to keep you company and your dog, if you get my flow. If not, ask me, I will tell you.
I hope everyone has a great week and keep cool/warm, whichever one comes to your area. Around my area, it’s been real funky! It was hot for 3 days then cold for 2 and tomorrow, I do not know what it will be like =( BOOOOO!
How To Groom Your Dog and Grooming Your Dogs

Hey there everyone! I hope all is great on your side! I’m doing great, fantastic Monday! =)
I wanted to share how to groom your dog or dogs.. well the way I actually groom my Bambi as well as my friends and families dogs.
First things first, make sure your dog is calm.
You don’t want him or her too excited and making potty mistakes everywhere.
(You know your dog best so I cannot tell you how to keep him or her calm) Unless they are a new dog into the home… you shouldn’t be grooming them in the first place until you get to know their personalities a bit better.) *smile*
Second, make sure to have all your supplies.. actually this should have been first huh? hehe!
Supplies needed: Shampoo and Conditioner(upon request), nail trimming clippers(NOT SCISSORS!), a large enough towel that can soak the water from their fur as well as the towel being 3-4 times the size of your dog, if not get several, a comb or brush, toothbrush and toothpaste, eye wipes(upon request.. washing your dog does the job as well), dog perfume if you’d like, and last but not least you! =)
Third, after you have gathered all the supplies you need, make a choice on if you’d like to bathe them or shower them. Bathe meaning the tub filled with water, or shower with a retractable shower head. I prefer the shower head because I can get around shampooing all around my dog, bathing works, but harder to get the shampoo all over the dog.
Then, you want to make sure the water temperature is warm enough, not too hot and not to cold, dogs skin are sensitive and not like humans so if you think a HOT shower will be good for them, it actually isn’t because it will cause their skin to chaff (dandruff in human term). You want the water to be not too cold either, they can catch colds. (Yes they can if you keep them long enough with the cold running water).
You want to bathe/shower them first before you clip their nails and brush them and what not.
RECOMMENDATION:
There’s a shampoo called Bio-Groom, a hypo-allergenic tearless shampoo & conditioner. Tearless so that if you do end up washing around your dogs eyes, you don’t want to make them cry because I know you wouldn’t like getting soap in your eyes either, THEY BURN!!!
After you have done the shampoo and conditioning step, dry them off by gently squeezing the water off their fur(if they have a lot), then get the towel(s) and start patting them down. You may want to use a blow dryer, but the ones that are pretty silent and on LOW heat. It also prevents the dogs from catching a cold. Air drying their whole body takes a whole lot of time, and imagine if we had hair like theirs all over our body and air drying it, it would take hours! =P
After all the hard work is over, now its time to clip their nails. Now, if you are inexperienced with cutting dogs nails, let me just tell you, it’s not too hard. Just make sure your dog won’t jump or move his paws around. Help your dog get in a comfortable position on your lap. Take his back paw one at a time first and hold his paw as if you would hold someones hand to put a ring on their finger. Gently and I really mean Gently squeeze the paws so that the nails could spread open and as it has opened, please grab the nail clippers and clip downwards. Dogs have a exact place where you can tell to trim the nails. You should be able to see their blood line in their nails. Do not cut CLOSE to them, cut AWAY from them, but not too far where it would keep their nails too long. It’s always better to cut them longer than shorter, but everyone makes mistakes so if you happen to make a mistake, there is a solution that you can put on their nail called a stopper. I posted a picture below of the powder that you can buy for less than $10 at any local pet store as well as the awesome nail clippers for approximately $13 dollars.
Those nail clippers are called Bamboo and the powder is called a kwik stop styptic powder.
Now, trimming the nail part with the clippers, just like how the above picture shows you of the nail trimmers, hold it just like how it’s shown and downwards clip your dogs nails.
To touch up the final grooming process, don’t forget if they have fur, to brush them =)
Here’s a picture of a comb I recommend, it doesn’t hurt the dogs skin and is great for smooth brushing.
Keep in mind, this can brush larger breed dogs as well as smaller breeds.
Now really finalizing the grooming process, if you’d like there is dog perfume (which is up to you as the parent.)
I hope this helped most of you 🙂
Also, my last suggestion, do not “cut” your own dogs hair unless you are experienced, trimming their fur is fine but I highly suggest you take them to a professional groomer. I took some grooming courses myself so I learned how to groom my own dog, but for those of you who hasn’t had any experience, it’s not as easy as it looks. You may cut the dog accidentally if you do not becareful, and trust me, you cannot always be too careful right? 🙂
Good night everyone, it’s past 1 in the morning and I am exhausted!! Workaholic can you say? By the way, sorry about my late post. Work = Long hours.
Adopting Dogs and Time Management With Your Dogs

HEY EVERYONE! Bright and really HOT OUTSIDE! 100 degrees it feels like, no? YUCK!
So I tried taking Bambi for a walk outside, but it’s so hot, we both got so dehydrated!!!
The water bottle I took out with me for Bambi and I, heated up instantly! Well not really, but
you know what I mean. After finishing the walk, the water was NO GOOD TO DRINK! =(
Anyway, today I wanted to write and get you all some tips on time management with your dogs.
How? Doesn’t make sense? Well I will explain…
Majority of us have a job, part time or full time, or some of us might just be students, stay at home moms, scientists, doctors, who knows right? Well either way, we all have stuff going on in our lives everyday, whatever and whichever we are busy doing, we still need to make time for our pets. Dogs are opposites of cats, they need a lot of attention, and a whole lot of your time. There are people who adopt dogs and think it’s so easy to manage. It really isn’t and I’m sure all you dog owners out there know what I’m talking about. I have a full time job, a family to take care of, Bambi, as well as myself to take care of. BUT in the end I always make time for everything I need to get done.
Here are some tips on if you are ready to adopt or not:
Ask yourself these questions and if any of them come to a “no” answer, you got your answer.
1. Do you have time to take your dog walking at least 2 times a day (preferabley morning & night)?
2. Do you have time to clean and give them fresh food and water everyday?
3. Do you have time to play with them (excluding walking)?
4. Can you afford the hundreds of dollars for vet costs? (Yes, there are low cost vets, but usually those places turn out to be very dirty and the workers are so unfriendly.. just from experience. Been there, done that.)
5. Can you take the time to brush them, bathe them, and basically pamper them?
6. When you are off to vacation, will you be taking your dog or pet(s) with you?
7. If the above answer is no, then who will be taking care of your dog or pet(s)?
If so far these answers have come to a no, please do not think about adopting unless you really believe all those answers can be changed, likewise, you changing your life style for a pet or pets that you are going to adopt.
Time management tips:
I know like I wrote, all of us have things going on in our daily lives everyday, so how can we manage a dog or pets in our life? Well exactly, that is soley up to you, but here are some of my tips.
It has worked for my friends and family so I’m hoping they will work out for you as well =)
1. Make a task list of things you need to do daily, include your loved ones(dogs/pets)
2. Take time aside for yourself, at least a total of 30 minutes a day, this does not include eating and sleeping time, I meant just sit, think, appreciate, and acknowledge.
3. If task lists do not work, write yourself notes or make an alarm on your cell phone.
4. Make sure you get plenty of rest and energy for yourself before doing your daily tasks and what not.
5. If you have a full time job, it’s usally a 9 hour shift, in between those times, make sure you can watch out for your dog(s), meaning walk them or someone is with them, usually your dog(s) will get depressed and lonely being left alone at home all the time, and seriously even humans can die of loneliness, depression, stress, exhaustion, and lack of right nutrition.
If you need more tips, I have hundreds to tell you, just my fingers get extremely tired typing so I cannot type out all 1000 of them. =)
I will see you all back soon! *thinking about what interesting things to write the next day* hehe!
Dogs and Chocolates is a BIG FAT N-O-!-!-!

Hey everyone! How is everyone doing? I hope mighty well! I’m almost all healed up and ready to go back out into the world (lol), my flu is almost gone and I’m feeling so so much better!
So today, I wanted to write about dogs and chocolate. I know for us, we absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! chocolates! Who doesn’t right? Unless you are allergic to them (sorry to those that are), but for us that aren’t, MMM! YUM!
Enough with our chocolate droolings, chocolates not all that healthy for us, but its EXTREMELY UNHEALTHY for our DOGS! (pets in general!) Those of you who find yourself feeding your dogs or pets chocolate, PLEASE STOP! RIGHT AWAY! =(
It can kill your dog!
PLEASE keep in mind that the kinds of food we eat, majority of it, almost ALL OF IT is not good for your pets. EXCEPTIONS!! Unless you keep your dog(s) on an organic feeding diet from the start. That should be the only exception, no others, absolutely NOT!
There is a chemical in chocolates called therobromine. Please click the link I have pasted below to read more information about exactly who it can kill your dog. Before clicking, KEEP IN MIND: dogs have totally different digestive systems than humans. (Which is why if you are feeding your dogs organics, which means human foods mainly, you should have started since they were a small puppy, and not when they are a year old or so.) This might sound contradicting, but it is true. If you do not understand, please feel free to research it more on google, or feel free to ask me and I will be more than happy to help you understand the differences between feeding your dog(s) organics since they were puppies and from when they are older. (Please, whatever I write is just for your entertainment, I am not trying to make any criticisms towards anyone or anything. I want to provide everyone excellent sources of information as much as I can.)

That above is the link to provide you great information on dogs and chocolates.
Please take the time to review it. Thank you again for stopping by! See you all soon!! =D
Recap on your Dog Food!!
- Posted by puppy love on April 25th, 2008 filed in dog food

Hey everyone, I have important news I must share with yall.
To start, I did extensive research on puppy and dog food today!
I went into Petsmart AND Petco(The two LARGEST stores for pets know in the U.S.), and I found out there are foods much much better than Nutro Ultra!
Yes, can you believe that? Now let me correct my previous posting about dog food..
Nutro Ultra is a great brand of food, but I learned that some other brands are great too! It really is just your preference like I mentioned before in my earlier dog food post. I will also give you some tips on the pricing of them =)
Brands that I found out that are excellent for your dogs health, I actually read each and single one of these bags ingredients~ Please scroll below to find out more about which brands are excellent sources of health for your puppy and dog(s).
My favorite choice after studying was Royal Canin
for indoor pups… which I am starting to feed my Bambi.
Royal Canin (they have many different chioces to your preference available) – pretty pricey for the little amount but #1 on my list =)
Nutro Ultra
Purina Pro Plan – price is decent for what you get
Eukanuba – price is decent for what you get
So in my opinion those three brands are great for your dog(s).
It’s like us eating rice one day, salad one day, bread one day, meat one day, tofu one day, and all these nutrients, I’m amazed on how much dog food has improven over the past years. Makes me happy =D
I hope this tip helps you decide on which food you should feed your dog(s).
Note: This is only my opinion and suggestion, you may feed your dog(s) whatever you would like.
Please read more of my disclaimer. Thank you!! =D
Vitamins for your Dog

Hi there! So I’m starting to feel much better, but still a little on the cloudy side.
Anywho, I wanted to write to everyone about vitamins specifically for dogs.
So if you would like to feed your dog vitamins, this is the easiest way possible.
It’s something called Nutri-Cal. There are many different kinds of Nutri-Cals, but
believe me, they all work the same, and do have same kinds of ingredients in it.
Below is a picture of the one I got when I first got my Bambi. Bambi actually wasn’t
eating and immediately I needed some form of supplement that could help him get
all his nutrients that dog foods have so I got Nutri-Cal and fed him three times a day.
This product really works, and yes Vets do recommend it as a great source of vitamins
for your dog(s).
If your dog is eating fine and healthy everyday, please do not feed this to them EVERYDAY,
it will be TOO much and may cause them to vomit or go diarrhea, but do feed it to them
twice a week, just sqweeze a small pinky nail size out into their mouth and let them just
lick it of their mouth/tongue. Or you may want to put in on your finger and feed it to them,
but keep in mind that our fingers have a lot of germs and bacteria that our dogs do not need.
(of course everything has germs and bacteria, but preventing it as much as possible would be
best.)
The only reason why I specifically recommended Nutri-Cal is because other vitamins come
in capsules, liquids, and all sorts of different kinds that your dog will not like as well as have
a hard time having them eat it. Nutri-Cal is a Gel like form, it can get messy like you see in the
picture above, but you can always clean it off =)
Thanks for stopping by and I hope this vitamin works! It will work! =)
